My goodness, this has been a fun day. Well, after I learned how to climb into Mark's truck, that is. He was enjoying the first way I tried to get into it way too much so I learned to just jump up and get in. (Smile)
I suggested we all go look for some slacks that Mark had said he needed and then end up at the American Pickers store in Nashville. No one seemed interested at all in that idea so I thought, FINE, I'll just go by myself Tuesday.
I just recently discovered this show on T.V. and have to say I'm addicted. There was a whole hour of a re-play the other evening I watched. These guys are crazy. We knew they had a store in Iowa but the other night they had a segment on opening a store in Nashville and I just HAD to get up there somehow and see this place.
Mark finally felt sorry for me and said he'd like to go and off we went. Ted wouldn't go as he had planned to spend the day in our crawl space. It's not as much fun as Jill and Tim's, he has to actually CRAWL in ours.
We never found any slacks for Mark, but we did find the store and gosh, I was glad for a guide getting there. I'm afraid I would never of found the right street. We were expecting a really BIG store but it's not much bigger than our garage and is it full.
The first thing we saw when we arrived was the big red arrow that was to of come from somewhere in Illinois on old route "66". I saw a couple of hat stands I had seen him buy but we just could not get over how small this place is. Mark said he thinks it's really where he stores a lot of things as the red arrow had a "not for sale" sign on it.
There were a lot of people there so it was pretty crowded. It was fun and I really was glad to get to see it.
So if SOME people want to make fun of me getting in and out of a truck I really don't care.
