FALL

Fall promises to be beautiful around us.   We have a maple tree in our back yard that is being painted a little each day.

We drove to Alabama on Monday and the drive is getting really pretty.

Most of you know that Spring is my time of year but for over six years we have been volunteering in Louisiana this time of year and missed all the colors Tennessee offers.  I have to admit it's nice to be home now and enjoy the Fall.   We will be here this week-end for the Fainting Goat Festival in Lewisburg.   I'm even looking forward to seeing all the neighbor kids in their Halloween costumes.

The weather has definitely moved from summer to Fall.   Nights are chilly but the days are sunny and beautiful.

This summer was HOT, and DRY, and the days seemed kind of long.    Right now it seems summer was a long time ago.   I have to admit I miss the early morning walks and hearing the birds but I'm going to enjoy this time of year in spite of myself.
