POLITICIANS

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm already sick of the "carrying on" of our so called politicians.

They act like a bunch of little kids rehearsing for a play in dress up clothes - parading around, pointing their finger at the guy or gal next to them and acting like they have all the answers to our problems.

It is estimated that over 8 billion dollars will be spent on the next election.   I can't even begin to imagine 8 billion dollars.

With 462 million Americans living in the poverty level, our schools running out of money, people loosing jobs by the thousands, it seems to me that money could well be spent in a better way.

How many new schools could be built with 2 billion dollars?   How many teachers could be hired for 2 billion dollars?   How many people without health care could be subsidized?

I would think we could build some really good transportation systems and alleviate a lot of pollution driving millions of cars to and from work (and other places) every day.

I suggest we limit each candidate to 30 minutes to tell us what they would do if elected, no yelling at the person next to them or across the stage.   Just tell us what you will be doing if elected.

Then use the rest of that money to help our citizens get back on their feet and our country working again.

I know, none of this will happen, but it sounds good anyway.
